In the transition from the green belt (5.kyu) to the blue belt (4.kyu), the structure of the test is as follows:

Responsible KATA are HEIAN YONDAN, HEIAN SANDAN, HEIAN NIDAN AND HEIAN SHODAN. Only the HEIAN YONDAN kata can be asked, and if necessary, the HEIAN SANDAN, HEIAN NIDAN and HEIAN SHODAN kata can also be asked.

KUMITE

SANBON KUMITE:

3-step attack and 3-step block + attack (Gyaku tsuki)

  1. Attack: Oi Tsuki Jodan – Block: Age Uke
  2. Attack: Oi Tsuki Chudan Block: Soto Uke
  3. Attack: Mae Geri Chudan Block: Gedan Barai

Explanation:
Both sides stands at the fist distance on Heiko Dachi. One side applies forward attack from Gedan Barai and the other side blocks back and completes his attack after the third and last block. Then both sides return to the starting point.

KIHON IPPON KUMITE

One step forward and one step backward block and attack

  1. Attack: Oi Tsuki Jodan – Block: Age Uke
  2. Attack: Oi Tsuki Chudan Block: Soto Uke
  3. Attack: Mae Geri Chudan Block: Gedan Barai
  4. Attack: Mawashi Geri Jodan Block: Haishu Uke

Explanation: 
Both sides stand at the fist distance on Heiko Dachi. One side applies forward attacks from Gedan Barai, other side, blocks and attacks from the opposite side with a step backwards. Then both sides return to the starting position. Other techniques are applied accordingly.
